Prassas Nikitas

Oenologist - Sommelier

A young passionate winelover but also certificated Oenologist by the School of Science for the wine , vine and beverages of the University of West Attica.

Born in 1996 in a small city, Lamia, has been gradueted from The American Farm School of Thessaloniki on 2014.

When he’s moved to Athens for studing at the University of West Attica started also his studies for the WSET in the department of Athens.

During his University education he did harvests in Domaine Skouras, Domaine Hatzimichalis, Avantis Estate.

He’s certificated WSET Levels 1,2,3 for the wine, Hestia Level 3, Level 1 Introductory Sommelier Course.

Member of the Association of Greek Sommeliers since 2015.

Since he was 8 years old started to visit the wineries in Greece following his family passion until the wine became his passion as well.

Every year he visits wine regions all over Europe for wine tatstings . Bordeaux, Mosel, Rioja , Alsace, Toscany, Penedes, Monsant, Priorat, Madeira, Porto but also new countries on the wine map like Romania and Hungary.

He is always participates on Masterclasses organized in the city of Athens or during his trips.

Since 2015 he is the head Sommelier on Cinque wine bars, by creating wine lists and wine tastings.

A successful businessman who decided, in his forties to follow his passion!

Do what you love and you ‘ll never work a day in your life!

After a business trip to Friuli in Noth Italy on 2004 with his wife they felt in love with the wine.

After private and group courses for the wine,  he became member of the Association of Greek Sommeliers on 2011.

Visiting wineries in Greece and in Europe became a family hobby until 2012 the first Cinque wine bar opens in Lamia, his hometown.

On 2015 Cinque wine bar in Athens was a dream come true, on 2017 a second one Cinque wine deligths and on 2018 A third one Cinque wine bar in Mykonos.

Passionate wine and food lover he followed cooking classes, like molecylar gastronomy, sushi lessons, cooking seminars.

Every year he creates for both Cinque in Athens special menus for the “Gout de France”.

A very creative person with many innovative ideas like wine flights, live cooking experience, homemade chutneys, loukoumi from wine (patent) , homemade pasteli, wine salt. 

With his son Nikitas, they sign the wine lists and they design the wine tastings.

Born in Lamia, in a small house always full of guests, unexpected the most of the time!

After finishing studing in the School of Dentist of the University of Athens, worked for 20 years in a family owned business.

At 2012, they followed with her husband Greg, their passion the wine!

On 2015 they moved to Athens working at Cinque wine bars, doing what she loves..welcoming and taking care of the guests.

Thanks to ten years french studies, her french are more than well appreciated from french people.

Two years of  private italian courses and of course fluent english.

Private wine seminars and cooking classes, masterclasses and wine trips follwing the family passion.
